Watch What You Say!
“Finding your Voice” is a popular phrase that basically means not being afraid to say what’s on your mind.
In my experience most people like to talk and aren’t afraid to say what’s on their mind; especially when they get mad or are offended! Whether you call it giving someone “a piece of your mind” or “finding your voice,” it still amounts to sharing your thoughts, feelings and opinions with anybody that will listen.
TALKING is “SERIOUS BUSINESS” these days and apparently the more vicious, vulgar and vitriolic the better. That is one reason why 33% of the almost 4 billion people around the world that use social media say that Facebook is having a “negative impact on society.”
The bible tells Christians in James 3:1-12 to Watch what you SAY!
5-6 It only takes a spark, remember, to set off a forest fire. A careless or wrongly placed word out of your mouth can do that. By our speech we can ruin the world, turn harmony to chaos, throw mud on a reputation, send the whole world up in smoke and go up in smoke with it, smoke right from the pit of hell.
The next time you “Find your Voice,” ask yourself- Where did your voice come from? Heaven or Hell? The voice from hell Ruins, the voice from heaven is Righteous!
Here is something to think about: “WORDS ARE FREE. IT’S HOW YOU USE THEM, THAT MAY COST YOU.”
Here are three suggestions to help you Watch what you SAY!
- “Think fifty-nine seconds, before you speak one.”
- “Remember that God gave you two eyes and two ears but only one mouth.”
- “Quote the bible and you will never go wrong.”
Watch what you SAY in Jesus’ name, Amen.
